David
Lipowitz Principal Database Consultant Resume: .pdf .doc I've been an Oracle database administrator, developer, and architect since early 2000 and recently formed Tuning Knife Consulting to provide independent database consulting services. I'm fluent in typical DBA tasks like software installation and database creation, but specialize in Oracle performance tuning. I also excel at database automation through shell scripting as well as perl and PL/SQL programming. Much of my experience has focused on data warehousing, including architectural roles in the design and development of several DSS databases, though I've also worked on a wide variety OLTP databases as well. I hold a Master's degree in Sociology from Colorado State University, where I focused my studies on quantitative research methodologies. After completing my coursework, I became a Market Research Assistant, but later taught myself SQL and turned to Report Development. I switched to database administration after my curiosity about "the other side of the database" got the best of me. |
